Viking Nurseries Limited began in 1998, producing mainly Conifers and Rhododendrons for the export market in Norway.
Since then we have grown to be one of the most modern nurseries in the UK now operating on a new 26-acre site near Norwich.
We are now producing a wider range of evergreen shrubs including Camellias, Pieris, Azaleas, Taxus and Buxus, sold in a range of pot sizes: 4.5L and 10L for the Scandinavian market, as well as our many customers in the UK.
For the export market, it requires strict monitoring of the crops throughout the growing season for pests and diseases. We have four annual checks, one each season, by DEFRA.
This means that our plants have a high level of Quality Control as well as being hardy for the climate abroad. This season we are offering a range of 10 litres specimen plants along with a number of evergreen & deciduous shrubs to give our customers something of interest to display on the garden centre throughout the year.
After researching the market we have chosen the best selling varieties to grow, giving us plants that are looking good from Rhodos in Spring, Shrubs in Summer and Conifers in Autumn/Winter.
